The youth are mostly stunted because we failed to develop the skill of analytic thinking.
Throughout childhood many have been beaten as a means of correction instead of the wrong being explained and the right direction given in love.
It is no wonder that later in life, while at work when told to halt a project, one finds it difficult to ask why? Not out of disrespect (as the average Ghanaiain supervisor perceives) but as a way to know what to avoid next time.
It is thus no surprise that the same mistakes are repeated in our institutions. Yet we still wonder about the inefficiency?
Mistakes are a learning tool. Understanding them ensures that we do not repeat them.
“I tried a 100 times and I failed but I learnt a 100 ways how NOT TO do it.”
